Interface and Planning Manager - Offshore Wind

Ventus is working with a renewable energy developer to appoint an Interface and Planning Manager who will oversee the coordination and integration of interfaces into the global development planning for offshore wind farms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key contact and interface between all major work streams, including but not limited to:

    • Engineering and Technical (WTG, Foundations, Geoscience Onshore),

    • Grid and Electrical (Offshore and Onshore Substation, Export and Inter Array Cables),

    • Environmental and Consent (Onshore consent, offshore consent),

    • Contract and Procurement,

    • Finance,

    • Supply chain,

    • QHSE.

  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage expectations and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.

  • Identify potential interface risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project timelines and objectives are met.

  • Collaborate with engineering, development and commercial teams to review interface requirements and ensure technical specifications are aligned with project goals and industry standards.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Legal and Finance Teams to review contracts and agreements related to interfaces, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the interface management function.

  • Be responsible for updating plannings in real time, identifying and reporting inconsistencies and risks. 

  • Manage Document Control and Project Planning Teams (2 people).

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.

  • 10yrs mini proven experience within the offshore wind industry, including 5yrs mini as interface management.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to keep a high-level vision of the project needs and constraints while also paying attention to details.

  • Ability to act with reactivity and adapt quickly to a changing environment.

  • Willingness to support and help other people in the team and understand the stakes of their activities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
