Ventus Team Visits Nigg Energy Park

Ventus staff enjoyed a tour of the Port of Nigg near Invergordon last week. The port is now a world-class facility servicing projects across the energy industry. The asset is emerging as a major logistics hub for the renewable energy sector providing services to several high profile projects within the tidal energy, onshore wind, offshore wind and green hydrogen sectors. Projects have included Moray East Offshore Wind Farm, one of Scotland’s largest ever privately financed infrastructure projects, and work will soon commence for the eagerly anticipated Seagreen project, owned by SSE Renewables and Total Renewables.

The total (historic and planned) investment in the facility is close to £200m.. The impressive infrastructure asset is strategically located for access to ScotWind marine license sites and UK wide AR4 and AR5 proposed developments.

It was fantastic for the team to see the pre-assembly operations for Moray East first hand, a project which the Ventus team has supported since 2009.
