Our client is a high-profile International Renewables Developer backed by a major financial services and investment organisation. The organisation is headquartered in London and Madrid, with additional presence in France, Italy, Germany, Greece and Poland. Currently, the organisation has one of Europe's largest solar portfolios at ~22GW. Our client has a strong track record of delivering Renewable projects across the UK and Europe. They're looking to recruit a Senior Construction Project Manager to join their established Technical team.
The Senior Construction Project Manager will:
Be the client’s point of contact for the projects in construction, you will ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and the project is delivered according to plan.
Carry out contract management and liaise closely with EPC contractors, Grid companies (TSOs/DNOs), lenders, suppliers of key equipment, consultants and off-takers. Resolving contractual and technical problems in a timely manner through effective collaboration and close liaison with internal and external parties.
Provide input to the development, procurement and transaction teams to support contract negotiations (EPC, O&M, Owner’ Engineer, PPA, relevant local consultants, equipment supply) in the pre-construction phase. As the Project Manager during construction, you will ensure, in collaboration with the extended team, effective scoping, budgeting, risk management, quality, HSE and scheduling in the pre-construction phase, considering the interaction and dependencies between the relevant contracts.
The Senior Construction Project Manager should have:
Significant experience in the project and project/construction management of solar, battery storage or other utility-scale renewable energy projects in construction.
A strong understanding of the development phase including constraints analysis, grid connection process and permitting process is also desirable.
You will have a demonstrable understanding of investor technical / reporting requirements and procedures and bring a successful track record of leading and managing complex projects in the Renewable Energy sector
A degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline will be required.
Fluent written and spoken English Required (Spanish or Italian desirable)
